Saline Lake Project

Truck driver Liu Ji accepts a job to deliver a sheep to the Northwest, only to unintentionally become entangled in a drug deal. Sheep farm owner Uncle Ying and drug dealer De Yi plan to exchange goods at Salt Lake, while Lao Xiang, who has been undercover at the farm, is actually searching for his missing wife—a narcotics officer. During the journey, Liu Ji meets Li Jiaojiao, sent by De Yi, and the three continue their trip to Donghe together. The deal spirals out of control, resulting in Uncle Ying’s death, and Lao Xiang ultimately sacrifices himself in a final confrontation with De Yi. As the police close in, the tragic truth is revealed: Lao Xiang’s wife has been in a coma all along. Through these events, Liu Ji gains a deeper understanding of love and the value of life.
