Special Asian Experience Event:
World Premiere of "100 Stories,100 Seconds"
100 Stories, 100 Seconds is an original community documentary and cultural experience presented by the Tigertail Asian Film Festival (TTAFF), bringing together 100 Asian and Asian American voices to explore one deceptively simple question: “What does America mean to you?”
The project features 100 individuals representing different generations, cultures, professions, backgrounds, and personal journeys. Each participant is given just 100 seconds to tell their story—sharing who they are, how their experiences became part of the broader American story, and what America means to them personally.
Filmed primarily throughout Florida, with participants from Florida and elsewhere across the United States, the project creates a mosaic of contemporary Asian American life through short, intimate documentary portraits. Rather than attempting to tell a single Asian American story, the film places 100 individual perspectives side by side, allowing differences in culture, immigration experience, generation, identity, family, opportunity, and belonging to emerge naturally.
The film will make its world premiere on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Imagine Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, as the centerpiece of a free, day-long Asian cinema and cultural experience. The event combines film with Asian food, cultural performances, art, networking, and opportunities to meet filmmakers, artists, participants, and members of the community.
During Imagine Museum's evening Second Saturday ArtWalk celebration, the film is scheduled to screen continuously, accompanied by live cultural programming including a lion dance, martial arts demonstrations, Peking Opera and live music. Museum admission during the evening ArtWalk is also free.
A second community screening will take place Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at Green Bench Brewing Co. in St. Petersburg, offering a more informal evening centered around the documentary, Asian food, conversation, networking, and community connections.
Both events are free and open to the public, reflecting the project's goal of making these stories accessible not only to Asian and Asian American audiences, but to the wider community.
The project is presented by the Tigertail Asian Film Festival as part of Creative Pinellas' Art Everywhere 2026 initiative and is supported by a Creative Pinellas grant through Pinellas County arts tourism funding.
At its heart, 100 Stories, 100 Seconds is more than a collection of interviews. It is a large-scale community storytelling project designed to document how 100 individual lives intersect with the American experience—demonstrating that there is no single Asian American story, but rather generations of experiences, cultures and journeys that collectively form part of America's story.
100 people. 100 stories. 100 seconds each. One shared screen.

This FREE event welcomes visitors of all backgrounds to connect through film, food, and storytelling.
